Sea Scout Ship 5050 has been fortunate to continue with great programs and an awesome fleet through the donation of time, money, and equipment from the community.

The Sea Scout Ship 50 Foundation is a 501c(3) organization that supports Ship 5050 through the management of our assets.

Donations of boats and other equipment have been used to supplement our current fleet, or have been used as projects to teach our crew boat building and repair.  Proceeds from the sale of donated boats are used for Sea Scout programming and the growth of our foundation to fund future programming efforts.

Examples of Ship 5050 programming include but are not limited to:

Summer water activities such as regattas, kayak, and canoe trips

Training in water safety, navigation, and seamanship

Long Cruise planning and execution

Leadership training and development for youth at Central Region and National Sea Scout venues

Community outreach to share skills with other youth
